Lori Apple is currently responsible for setting clinical direction, overseeing operations of CorsoCare, and leading Health Care Strategy for Common Sail. CorsoCare is a Certified Home Health Care and Hospice Company.
With 32 years of nursing experience, Apple previously co-founded a regional multimillion-dollar Medicare Certified Home Health Care Company. Early in her nursing career, she combined her clinical knowledge with her legal interests and began working as a specialized member of a litigation team that led to earning her Certified Legal Nurse Consulting credentials. Her working career included clinical, operations management, risk management and providing strategies for organic growth and acquisitions.
Apple is currently licensed to practice nursing in Michigan, and Florida. She is an active board member for the Association of Home Care Coding & Compliance (AHCC), a division of Decision Health, helping to serve the home health care industry through education, advocacy, training and tools.
Sandy Decker Senior Provider Education Consultant | Provider Outreach and Education team at CGS Administrators, LLC
She has worked in the home health and hospice nursing fields the majority of her nursing career. Decker has been a Medical Reviewer with both Medical Review and Appeals at CGS before her current educator position. She has presented at both national and state conferences for both hospice and home health. Decker has received her RN and BSN degrees, along with degrees in marketing and business management, and has also been a paralegal and business analyst in both Iowa and North Carolina.
J'non Griffin RN, MHA, WCC, HCS-D, HCS-H, COS-C | President, Home Health Solutions, LLC
J’non Griffin is a 31-year veteran of home care as an RN, a national full service consultant in home health and hospice, and is a nationally recognized speaker. Griffin has several publications in the home health and hospice market, and has developed agency tools and products for sale. She received her Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration in 2005. She has experience as a field nurse, director and executive with home health and hospice agencies, both large and small. Griffin has served as Director of Staff Development and Appeals for home health and hospice agencies. Griffin is certified as a Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D), Certified in OASIS competency, COS-C, Hospice certified coder (HCS-H) Homecare Compliance (HCS-C) and is an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM trainer/ambassador.
Sharon Harder | President, C3 Advisors, LLC
As the President of C3 Advisors, LLC, Sharon Harder oversees all home health and hospice client projects, the majority of which are focused on compliance issues including scheduled Medicare/Medicaid compliance audits, acquisition due diligence, preparation of responses to investigations and labor/compensation issues. In addition, Harder was a founder of a successful pediatric healthcare company providing center-based extended care to medically fragile patients along with home health, medical equipment and infusion services offered in partnership with major children’s’ hospitals. She is a frequent speaker on home health and hospice regulatory issues and has authored numerous articles on key industry topics including recent contributions on Value Based Purchasing, Emergency Preparedness and the Patient Driven Grouping Model (PDGM).
Kathy Kaiser MBA, BSN, RN, CJCP | Consultant
Kathy Kaiser is a results oriented, experienced, home care consultant and educator. Kaiser is well versed in advising startup home care organizations including private duty, home health, and hospice organizations. She has also worked in large health care system-based home care organizations and at the regional and national level of proprietary home care organizations. As a consultant, Kaiser brings her combined experience from surveying and managing home care operations to assist organizations in reaching their high reliability goals. She served as a National Quality Director at a for profit home care organization. Kaiser is extremely knowledgeable around operational audits and assisting home care organizations to develop action plans to meet their goals and sustain their improvements.

Dee Kornetti, a physical therapist for 30 years, is a past administrator and co-owner of a Medicare-certified home health agency. She now provides training and education to home health industry providers as Owner/Founder of a consulting business, Kornetti & Krafft Health Care Solutions, with her business partners Cindy Krafft and Sherry Teague. Kornetti is nationally recognized as a speaker in the areas of home care, standardized tests and measures in the field of physical therapy, therapy training and staff development, including OASIS, coding, and documentation, in the home health arena. She is the current President of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Home Health Section and serves on the APTA’s national Post-Acute Work Group. She serves as the Chair of the Association of Home Care Coding and Compliance advisory board. She has served as a content expert for standard setting for Decision Health’s Board of Medical Specialty Coding (BSMC) home care coding (HCS-D) and OASIS (HCS-O) credentialed exams. She is also on Medbridge’s Advisory Board for development of educational content on its home health platform, and has authored several courses related to OASIS, Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and therapy.

Robert W. Markette, Jr., focuses his practice on representing home health, hospice and private duty providers in all aspects of their operations. With more than 10 years of experience in working with these industries, Markette has developed a reputation for understanding the issues facing home care providers and has assisted clients in a number of areas related to the operation of their businesses. Markette works with clients on issues related to Medicare and Medicaid compliance, including surveys, responding to surveys and state and federal appeals of survey findings; he is also a frequent speaker on home health, hospice and private duty matters across the country, presenting to the American Health Lawyers Association and the National Association for Home Health and Hospice Care, as well as other national speaking events and numerous state trade association conferences and continuing education sessions.
Tonya Y. Miller PT, DPT, PHD | Founder/Principal, TYM Coaching
Dr. Tonya Y. Miller is the Founder/Principal of TYM Coaching. At TYM Coaching, Miller focuses on building strong organizations through frontline leadership development. She aims coaching strategies on building that foundation through her 4D- Leadership Development Approach. After completing a master’s and doctoral degree in physical therapy, Miller went on to complete a PhD in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Currently, Miller is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Physical Therapy at Lebanon Valley College where she teaches courses in Management, Leadership, and Professional Issues. As national speaker, she lectures on a wide variety of leadership topics from human engagement, diversity, and healthcare leadership.
LaDawn Pierce RN, BSN | Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement
LaDawn Pierce has been a nurse for 23 years and has worked in home health since 2002. Quality has always been a passion of Pierce’s, so moving into a QAPI position with Mays Home Care was a natural fit. In this role, Pierce leads a team that focuses on Quality Patient Care, Patient experience of care, and data-driven projects. She also works very closely with ACO and other consortium groups to represent home health and meet the needs of patients in the post-acute care setting. With the ongoing evolution that occurs in our industry, it can be challenging to get employees to be excited about change, therefore, Pierce introduces out of the box solutions for getting employees energized and excited about implementing new processes while empowering the entire team to drive change from within.
David Schiller | Former Assistant Special Agent in Charge, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Beginning with David Schiller’s hiring as a Special Agent in 1987, he was involved in investigating some of the largest drug trafficking organizations throughout the world. In 2009, Schiller was reassigned as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) for the Denver Field Division. In this capacity he led all the criminal, administrative, and civil investigations affecting all DEA’s Registrants, including manufacturers, distributors, pharmacies, hospitals, narcotic treatment providers, and doctors. In 2015, Schiller was selected to be the Vice Chair of DEA’s Diversion Field Advisory Committee with ultimate responsibility for coordinating all Diversion related matters for every one of DEA’s 21 Field Divisions. He ended his career by finalizing the largest administrative and civil settlement against a DEA Registrant in the history of the DEA – the McKesson Corporation. Schiller was featured on 60 Minutes on December 17, 2017. Subsequent to his retirement in 2017, he co-founded NarcX. NarcX is the first and only independently-validated method of on-site destruction in the United States for prescription drugs as well as illicit drugs to include Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and CBD Oil. NarcX was created for every household (ultimate-user) in the United States, every Hospice/Long Term Care Facility, as well as for every one of DEA’s 1.7 million Registrants.
Ricky Smith | President, Innovative Business Technologies
Innovative Business Technologies (IBT) is a SOC II compliant Cloud Service Provider and Managed IT Service organization that works primarily with healthcare providers. Prior to IBT, Ricky Smith spent 11 years with the homecare and hospice product group of McKesson Information Solutions. As Director of Technical Services, he became passionate about IT’s ability to facilitate patient care. In addition to 20 plus years in IT health-care, Smith spent several years as a systems engineer and telecommunications technician in a high-profile financial and chemical engineering sector. Ongoing research on technology trends, as it relates to healthcare providers, allows Smith to maintain expertise in data security, compliancy, business continuity, and risk analysis.
