Jim spent 16 years with one of the largest emergency physician billing companies in the country. Jim brings 25 years of physician billing experience, having previously owned his own billing company, with particular expertise in coding, quality assurance, policy development and physician documentation training. He has been actively involved with the reimbursement activities of 3 state ACEP chapters and is a frequent speaker and writer on reimbursement topics in emergency medicine. He is in his 13th year of teaching "Issues and Answers About EM Reimbursement and Coding," a nationally recognized course for emergency physicians. He also is a member of the Specialty Advisory Board for Emergency Medicine coding with BMSC.
