Mildred
L. Johnson, J.D., CPC is the Institutional Compliance
Officer at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
in Lubbock, Texas. She is responsible for developing
and maintaining the institutional compliance program and has
supervisory oversight of the Billing Compliance Program and
HIPAA Privacy. Ms. Johnson is also an affiliate faculty
member of Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, where she teaches “Compliance
Issues”, an on-line undergraduate course of the Health
Information Management degree program. Millie has over
10 years of health care billing compliance experience and
has been an active member of the Health Care Compliance Association
and is currently a member of the Compliance Advisory Board
of the Board of Medical Specialty Coding.
